A legend retires from Meyer House Care Home

Our team at Meyer House Care Home bid a very fond farewell to our Manager Gill Redsell (fondly known as ‘The Captain’) on Friday 24 September, when she retired after a dedicated career spanning 15 years at our Home.

During her years at Meyer House, Gill forged a strong family feel and close bonds with our families and local community. Compassion and love for her residents was always her driving force, as well as her commitment to her dedicated staff team.

Gill was a passionate fundraiser, supporting many charities close to our hearts including Bexley Community Hospice, London Air Ambulance and Dementia charities.

But she will perhaps be especially remembered for her amazing themed days and outfits at Meyer House! Always in the thick of the action, she has donned many a costume over the years, including Wilma Flintstone, Morticia, Charlie Chaplin and even a Christmas Cracker!

Gill will be greatly missed by everyone, but we wish her a very happy retirement. She leaves behind her a wonderful legacy (not to mention some fantastic photographs!) at our Home.

Wishing you a wonderful retirement Gill – from all your friends at Meyer House!
