Everyone at Meyer House Care Home would like to send a massive thank you to our local Dunelm who very kindly sent a Christmas gift for each of our lovely residents.
The presents were thoughtfully wrapped and labelled individually with our residents’ name; so much thought went into this and we really appreciate it!
We would also like to thank our lovely resident Maggie’s daughter and her husband; they really touched all the hearts of the staff here at the Home with their precious poem (below). The amazing hamper full of Christmassy goodies is the icing on the cake!
Mum didn’t plan to come here, she didn’t plan to stay
She didn’t mean to cause a fuss, ’cause that’s just not her way
However, I’m so pleased she came here and so pleased she could stay
You’ve made her feel so special, each and every day
Meyer House has Angels, of that I am quite sure
You’re always there to help her and give that little bit more
I really want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart
Whatever happens I know you’re there to play your thoughtful part
I thank you for your kindness that can never be repaid
And for all your understanding and the difference this has made.
Thank you so much to our local primary school – Bexley Primary – for all the beautiful hand drawn Christmas pictures wishing the residents well for Christmas. These really put a smile on our faces!
