Jubilee afternoon tea at Meyer House Care Home

Queen comes for tea

We had a lovely afternoon tea on Thursday 26 May here at Meyer House Care Home, to get us all in the mood for the upcoming Jubilee.

Claire made us some lovely finger sandwiches and Leigh made her usual tasty treats including fancy fondants and cupcakes. We had scones with thick cream and jam too and lashings of tea of course!

The Queen dropped by with her corgis and June thought it was fun for one of them to join her at the table (or that should be on the table!).

We had some lovely Glenn Miller music playing in the background and all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.

Green fingered Jack

Jack is all ready with his tools to do a little spot of gardening.

Jack’s family have brought him his own bedding plants and some tomato plants which we all can’t wait to taste.

He tends to them himself and does a great job – well done Jack!
