Our ladies and gents really enjoyed our fireworks display which we held on Tuesday 5 November at Meyer House Care Home, starting at 5:30pm.
Our residents who chose to come outside were wrapped up cosy against the cold and loved having giant sparklers to hold with support from family, friends and our carers.
Some of our residents preferred to stay inside behind the windows and in the warm.
We offered everyone a cup of homemade soup, followed by a selection of hotdogs, beef burgers, sausages in bread rolls, sausage rolls and hot drinks.
Our last firework was lit around 6.45pm and we all enjoyed watching the show.
We did not burn âJeffreyâ our Guy at the request of our residents! And as he’d raised £19.01 in donations, we thought it only fair to spare him!!
