With real travel out of the question as restrictions continue, our ladies and gents here at Meyer House Care Home are on an armchair travel adventure for Spring-Summer 2021. Having set sail to India on the second leg of our virtual world tour, we are looking forward to docking in India on Wednesday 10 March.
Our residents have had a busy week preparing for the trip and we’ve got lots of money at the ready for a much needed shopping trip! We’ve learnt lots of facts we didn’t know about India, while updating our travel journals with lots of pictures and information.
We’ve also been enjoying some Origami where we made some lovely lotus flowers ready for our arrival in India. And with peacocks being the national bird of India, our residents have been creating their own. Inspired by a picture, we think they did pretty well!
We have also had a go at hand painting and more Peacock colouring this afternoon – doing our own designs!
It has been wonderful to see safe indoor visits resume with Colin who came to see his lovely wife Daphne.
