Meyer House is transformed into an Oliver Twist set to welcome guests
We opened our doors at the weekend to invite people into our Open Day here at Meyer House Care Home.
And what’s an Open Day without a theme and a bit of dressing up?!
This year we decided on an ‘Oliver Twist’ theme. The classic story saw our staff and residents all dressed up as someone from the book – Oliver Twist, Nancy, the Artful Dodger and Fagin.
We decorated our Home to match the story, with our very own Work House and Tavern – and of course, all our staff sang along to ‘Oom Pah Pah’ to get us all in the spirit!
As part of the day we served pie, mash and liquor and this was all washed down with some good old fashioned London music, with Peggy and John.
What a brilliant day! We all had an amazing time together and really enjoyed dressing up and being in character. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day so special. We can’t wait for the next one!
