We had an interesting morning at Meyer House Care Home last week, sorting through some old coins and reminiscing together.
We checked out food prices and shopping lists from the 1940s and then compared them to today’s prices – quite a difference!!
It was nice to reminisce and chat about the size and weight of the coins and the fact you could get a loaf of bread for 3d!
Hugh particularly enjoyed looking at a half a crown coin and counting his pennies.
