We had a wonderful day celebration VE Day at Meyer House Care Home on Friday 8 May.
Our ladies and gents enjoyed getting ready for the celebrations and had their flags at the ready to wave and Union Jack hats on! And our staff were dressed to impress in their wartime clothes too – they looked amazing!
We laid out long tables in our garden for a real ‘street party’ feel, decorated with Union Jack table cloths and bunting. Our residents enjoyed lunch outside, complete with Union Jack cupcakes and a brilliant ‘Warden’s Hat‘ cake made by Leigh.
Debbie and her husband sang for our residents as they enjoyed the sun, food and mocktails together.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the special day – one to remember!
